cint
We present Integer C: a C family language written entirely in fixed point integers.
Every operation is checked and every fault emits a record.
Examples:
- hello
- hello_overflow
- overflow_hunt - four file sizes in an I32; then saturated, widened, wrapped
- ledger
For Python and JavaScript programmers:
- ints that dont lie
- slices without copies
- numpy in whole numbers
- structs and tests
- money without floats
- same bytes everywhere
- caught twice - 100000 * 100000 in an I32: the compiler refuses it; then hide one operand in a variable and the runtime catches it instead
hello_overflow.ci Run loading Python runtime (about 12 MB, once)…
via cint_ref (interpreter written in .py)
stdout
outcome
the cintc compiler compiles itself to identical C on GCC, Clang, MSVC and apple Clang.
